My wife can really screw up a weekend...

Last Saturday...
SHE WOKE UP!!!

It started like this . . . Back in 1969, in the second grade; Special Ed felt the flu coming on.  Not wanting to disturb the class, Ed sat quietly until it was too late.  Poor Ed went to tell the teacher he was ill and threw up all over her.  The class didn’t know what to do.  That is, until Special Ed turned around and took a bow.  That was the first of many roars of laughter . . . and Ed was hooked.

Drum Line. While still in grade school, Special Ed became a member of the nationally ranked Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Ed credits the Cavaliers with teaching him professionalism, and showmanship.

“Lip Sync Scare” of the eighties. Special Ed was a member of the Tidal Waves, a Lip Sync Comedy Troupe.  The Tidal Waves were featured in Time Magazine, and a portion of the troupe made their way to “Puttin on the Lips”.

Growing restless, Special Ed studied improv at The Second City ETC.  Ed put together a few different outside improv troupes, hitting clubs in Southeast Wisconsin.

Stand Alone.  An actor friend told Ed about Zanies 101, a course designed to give students entry level knowledge to get started in Stand-up Comedy.  Again, Special Ed was hooked, and still is.  Ed spent the first full year in stand-up, concentrating on developing his act by only hitting open mics. After getting comfortable on stage and making contacts, Ed found a home at Stooges Comedy Club in Milwaukee.  Special Ed currently features at one niter’s, corporate dates and the occasional club dates, wherever they’ll book him.

Special Ed has been a growing presence on the comedy scene and sees no end in sight.

Special Ed was instrumental in spear heading the Illinois leg of the Stand Up For Our Troops; a national night of comedy April 21st, 2003, showing the troops that there are people in the entertainment industry who support them 100 percent.  Ed also booked and performed in a monthly Comedy Night at The Great Lakes Naval Training Center, 2001 to 2004.

Special Ed bounds to the stage with limitless energy, he grabs the audience, and refuses to let go.  You can’t help but like him!     So sit back and enjoy Special Ed’s take on everyday topics such as, how to tell a niece the truth about Santa or warning the audience on the dangers of the internet.  Special Ed has his own twist to the War on Terrorism, and who could leave out Special Ed’s impression of Bill Clinton.  Did we mention . . . all this while playing his guitar?
